Looks to me that a few got pissed up and decided to have a right laugh for the very last Saturday game at UP.
Yeah, throwing beer around ain't my thing but I'd rather be in amongst that lot than the boring fuckers who probably just sat there and moaned their way through the game.
People throwing beer over the bloke who worked is a bit out of order but it makes me laugh when people try to make out we have a new breed of fans going now days. We've always had fans take the piss like this...the difference now days is there is always some filming it and posting it on the net.

I've seen the footage of this and at no point does anyone at all claim that they are hard men. It's just some pissed up fans making the best of a bad situation and one (one) gets a bit divvy throwing beer around. Nobody is claiming to be a hard man.
So pack it in with the self-righteousness.

Why do other West Ham fans film this and post it on the internet? That's one of the biggest recent changes in going to football, sea of phones out filming whenever anything going on, even chanting.
As far as the incident goes, yeah it's silly, but hardly "smashing the stadium up" like media are saying. Few bottles needed sweeping up at most.

Seems like there's an element who think it's funny to behave like Chelsea fans of the 70's & early '80's, those we used to take the piss out of.
Would someone explain why throwing beer over a guy doing his job is funny? Why is attacking a bloke selling beer 'hard'. Why is smashing up your own ground anything other than disrespectful?
